Dr. Michael Miuccio is a Human Factors Scientist with expertise in visual attention and cognitive neuroscience. He received a Ph.D. in Human Factors and Cognitive Psychology from the University of Central Florida where he used neurophysiological measure (eye tracking, EEG) to assess visual search errors in applied settings such as radiology or airport baggage screening.
In industry, he worked as a Human Factors Engineer for contract companies with NASA and the Department of Veteran’s Affairs. He uses his experience with cognition, visual attention, and human factors to evaluate situations and scenarios where human error is likely, due to poor design principles or cognitive processing limitations.
