Mr. Grant Ogilvie completed his BS and MS in Mechanical Engineering from Brigham Young University. His masters research centered around the biomechanics of corn (maize) plants including how their leaves influence their strength and vibration characteristics over the course of the growing season. He also research carbon nanotubes, including helping to develop growth parameters for carbon nanotubes on metals used for medical implants and leading the nanotube fabrication team for Youtuber Mark Rober’s World’s Smallest Nerf Gun.
Mr. Ogilvie is starting his career as an Associate Scientist in Explico’s Chicago office. His responsibilities include compiling reports on case materials, performing biomechanical analysis, collecting evidence and assisting with field inspections.
