Jacob Ovaska is an Accident Reconstructionist at Explico. Mr. Ovaska is a recent engineering graduate from Youngstown State University in Northeast Ohio. At Explico, Mr. Ovaska is able to apply his interest in vehicles to the field. He has training in scanning scenes and vehicles using a FARO scanner, as well as processing those scans into working models. He has completed an SAE accident reconstruction course and a Bosch Crash Data Retrieval course, and he is pursuing further training pertaining to accident reconstruction and related fields. Additionally, he gathers information relevant to cases including aerial and ground level photographs of crash scenes, processing police body-cam footage from first responders, and transcribing depositions. In his free time Jake enjoys riding his motorcycle, playing ultimate frisbee and basketball, and hiking in the mountains.
