Elizabeth Kappler is an Associate Scientist at Explico Engineering Company. Her roles include using biomechanics for injury analysis, accident reconstruction, and assisting in conducting research. She holds a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
Ms. Kappler’s undergraduate research was conducted under the Neurotrauma and Translational Bioengineering Laboratory at Georgia Tech and was primarily focused on the development of a virtual reality concussion assessment tool for pediatric mild traumatic brain injuries. During her undergrad, Ms. Kappler helped develop a low-cost fetal heart monitor for low-resource environments for her senior capstone project. The team went on to conduct a clinical trial of the device. Ms. Kappler brings a diversity of experience with previous internships in both operations and manufacturing.
