David sproule, m.s.
Mr. Sproule’s major area of practice involves the scientific investigation of accidents resulting in traumatic injury. He holds a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering and a B.S. in Exercise Science from Michigan Technological University, as well as an M.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
Mr. Sproule’s graduate training and research was conducted in the Helmet Lab in the Center for Injury Biomechanics at Virginia Tech. His research was focused on the laboratory testing of youth football helmets in regards to both mild and traumatic head injuries. He has performed a variety of biomechanical testing on various helmet technologies, both in the laboratory and in the field.
